Hansal Mehta and Sony LIV reunite for the untold story of R&AW
SonyLIV and Hansal Mehta come together once again after this time for the untold story of R&AW, helmed by Hansal Mehta, based on RK Yadav's book, Mission R&AW. The show will be produced by Almighty Motion Pictures and has been adapted for the screen by Karan Vyas. The show will trace the journey and exploits of Rameshwar Nath Kao, the first Chief of R&AW, in the wake of escalating turmoil with the country's neighbours. The show will also showcase covert intelligence operations and how several of these strategies and actions have shaped the geopolitics of our region.
Amazon miniTV's Ishq Express trailer
Amazon miniTV has announced the premiere of its upcoming romantic web series, Ishq Express, a concept by Satish Raj Kasireddi. Written and directed by Tanmai Rastogi and Saurabh George Swamy, and produced by Ahab Jafri (Tauzi) and Satish Raj Kasireddi of Lockdown Shorts Studio; the new show stars Ritvik Sahore and Gayatrii Bhhardwaj in lead roles. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, actress Esha Gupta, who's currently basking n the glory of Aashram season 3 said, "Yoga means a union of mind, body and soul. Yoga for me in true sense is a work on our whole being. I wish to promote and educate people all around the world about yoga, just so they can also reap the benefits of it and the calmness it gives to handle the biggest storms."
Jenny Han opens up on the cast of The Summer I Turned Pretty
New York Times bestselling author Jenny Han has joined forces with Amazon Prime Video to treat her fans with a live adaptation of her first published trilogy, The Summer I Turned Pretty, as an eponymous original series. In an interview with Variety, Han laid bare her thoughts as show co-runner on settling for the perfect cast, where she said, "I really wanted to find actors that felt real and natural and fresh. There's a feeling of discovery about that. The linchpin was going to be Belly because everything hangs around her. So, it was most important for us to find the right Belly. Lola Tung had this freshness to her. She turned 18 on the show. This is our first part and she had never done it before. I think it's really hard to manufacture a kind of innocence or newness to things. There's so many meta elements to that to Belly's big summer and Lola's big summer."
